Dr. Panagiota Angeli
University College London, UK – FFHMT 2027 Plenary Speaker
Prof Panagiota Angeli, FREng, FIChemE, is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at UCL, Deputy Head ED&I, and leads the ThAMeS Multiphase group. She specializes on complex multiphase flows and their application to sustainable processing.She obtained a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and a PhD on Multiphase Flows at Imperial College London. Prof Angeli’s work has been supported by substantial UK Research Council and European Union funding and by industry. She has been awarded a RAEng/Leverhulme Trust Fellowship and has participated and chaired UK EPSRC and international (Norway, Sweden, Ireland, Belgium, Germany) research funding review panels. She has published over 200 journal papers.

Dr. Pedro Coelho
Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal – FFHMT 2027 keynote Speaker
Professor Pedro Coelho graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1984 and received his Ph.D. in 1992 from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon, Portugal. He is professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of IST. He has about 120 papers published in international journals, and 150 papers presented at international conferences. He is co-author of a book on Combustion (in Portuguese) for undergraduate and master students. His research focuses on the numerical simulation of heat transfer and combustion processes. He is President of the Eurotherm Committee for the Advancement of Thermal Sciences and Heat Transfer since August 2026, and member of the Scientific Council, Assembly and Executive Committee of the International Centre of Heat and Mass Transfer. He is associate editor of the J. Quantitative Spectroscopy and Radiative Transfer, Int. J. Thermal Sciences, and member of the advisory board of Computational Thermal Sciences, Heat Transfer Research and Int. J. Energy for a Clean Environment.
